Seventh International Forum of the University’s Foreign Students and Graduates

The 7th annual international forum Crimea in the Global Research and Education Community took place at Vernadsky CFU between 20th September and 25th October.

The event attracted over 150 Vernadsky CFU international students and alumni, and featured a varied and extensive programme.

Co-organised by Vernadsky CFU, the Soviet and Russian Universities Graduates Association, and the Vernadsky CFU’s Office of International Affairs, the forum provided a platform for showcasing the University’s accomplishments and discussing the ongoing challenges and goals.

The event was packed with activities that celebrated the University’s international community:

a press conference on “Education without Borders: International Activity in Crimea”;
an international roundtable discussion attended by the University’s senior management, academic staff and students;
a traditional photography competition with the theme “I Love Crimea!”;
a meeting between acting rector Vladimir Kurianov and the University’s international student recruitment partners;
and a friendly football match between Vernadsky CFU and International Team.

Crimea welcomed the first international students back in 1961, and since then Crimean universities have graduated over 25,000 international students.

Today, V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University remains a major international centre for research and education. The University’s rich and diverse international community is made up of about 3,000 students hailing from more than 30 countries.
