The round table discussion, held at the University’s Office of International Affairs, focused on the issues related to stay and study of students from Uzbekistan in Russia, enhancing collaboration with the university’s community of students from Uzbekistan, developing friendly ties in the fields of research, culture and education, and was timed to mark Uzbekistan’s Independence Day, celebrated on September 1.

The event was attended by a number of the University’s administrative and academic staff members and Vernadsky CFU students from Uzbekistan, and involved some lively and substantive discussion about the important topics listed on the agenda.

There are currently around 3,000 international students studying at Vernadsky CFU, including about 90 students from Uzbekistan.
