Vernadsky CFU held a public lecture given by Professor Petr Panukhin from the Department of History, Architecture and Urban Development at the Moscow Institute of Architecture (MARKHI).
The talk was themed Maps of Crimea from Professor Panukhin’s Collection.
The lecture attracted many attendees and is set to be followed by an exhibition of maps tracing the history of Crimea through the centuries which is due to be launched soon at the University’s Main Building.
Speaking after the event, First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Information Policy Sergei Iurchenko appreciated the lecture and noted it was very relevant and important for students.
This public lecture was held as part of the University’s 105th anniversary celebrations, and was co-organised by Vernadsky CFU, Petr Panukhin, and the Tavrida Central Museum.
