Over 100 students from various African countries are set to attend the programmes of the first Summer University co-hosted by ten Russian universities taking part in the Russian-African Network University.

The students, hailing from countries as diverse as Algeria, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, have signed up for programmes that will be delivered by Russian universities located in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Astrakhan, and in the Republic of Crimea.

This Summer University Project is part of the Russian-African Network University Consortium, and is supported by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University is the operator of the project and will offer an array of programmes in Reproductive Science and Surgery, including both lectures and practical sessions.

Created with the aim to facilitate cooperation between Russia and African countries in the fields of education and research, the Russian-African Network University currently comprises 42 educational and research institutions and will provide a single vast pool of programmes and courses of its member institutions delivered in Russian, English, and French.
