In keeping with the tradition established years ago by previous graduating classes, international graduates in the Medical Academy’s Class of 2023 planted a tree on the grounds of their Alma Mater.
“This is not the first time we organised such an event and it certainly won’t be the last. I think it is very important that graduates create memories of their alma mater, of the time spent here. It is especially so for international graduates who take their experiences of living and studying in Crimea back to their countries, and when they come back, decades later, they find things that bring back those memories of that wonderful time, of their youth, of friends and teachers. I believe this tradition should be maintained, and we will do our best to ensure our alumni come and visit us feeling welcomed,” – said Evgenii Krutikov, Director of the Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Academy.
According to Evgenii Krutikov, most of the trees on the Medical Academy campus were planted by graduates of different years, and the collection already includes dozens of plants. By tradition, graduates of each faculty plant a tree, which could be a coniferous tree, a birch or a chestnut.
This year’s class at the Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Academy included 207 international graduates.
