From 25 to 27 May, 2023, the Russian Language Institute of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) hosted the Inter-University Student Workshop Conference themed ‘Scientific and Professional Business Communication Culture’.
The event attracted a vast number of participants. Vernadsky CFU was represented by Feridehanum Alieva, a Lead Expert of the Division of International Education at the Office of International Affairs, and Mahmoud Samra, a 6th year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky.
In her talk at the conference, Feridehanum Aliyeva told about the university’s international collaboration and engagement, and noted that the Russian language remains a key tool for the university in shaping international students’ development and exposing them to the rich history and culture of Russia.
Mahmoud Samra attended the workshop themed ‘Language. History. Culture. Profession’, where he outlined the ongoing efforts to further develop cultural and scientific cooperation between Russia and Egypt, and to promote the Russian language and Russian education in African countries.
With about 3,000 international students from more than 40 counties currently enrolled on its programmes, Vernadsky CFU is ranked among the top higher educational institutions in Russia in terms of the number of international students.
