A delegation from V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University has wrapped up a productive working visit to Uzbekistan where they held a series of meetings in Samarkand and Bukhara aimed at expanding academic and research ties.

The visit was focused on exploring priority areas for future collaboration and resulted in a number of cooperation agreements signed between Vernadsky CFU and several Uzbekistan universities.

During the visit, the Vernadsky CFU delegation also toured some university campuses with unique facilities, including a food safety laboratory, a veterinary training centre, a robotics laboratory, a 3D technology laboratory, the Robots and Children Innovative Kindergarten, a lecture theatre equipped with acoustic booths for distance learning, a student and academic staff registration office, as well as other educational and research spaces.

The delegation members also delivered a presentation about V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University to students of a university technical college and a vocational school, and held an interactive quiz with gifts featuring Crimean and Russian themes.

This working visit to Uzbekistan took place within the Priority-2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Programme.
