A series of meetings for international students has been launched at V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. The sessions focus primarily on the preparation for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in India. The keynote speaker at the sessions is Dr. Priyansh Jain from Arise Medical Academy.
“Our graduates possess the high-quality knowledge and skills which reflects the outstanding commitment of our faculty. But we also need to make sure that our graduates are well prepared for the examinations in India. We have been approached by a number of different Indian companies who have suggested delivering free lectures for our students on these themes, and now we are starting to implement one of such initiatives,” commented Sergei Iurchenko, Vernadsky CFU First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Information Policy.
Other topics covered during the sessions include: the procedure for obtaining a Diploma Supplement at the University, degree certificates legalisation, students’ academic performance, prevention of cybercrime, and Russian immigration rules and legislation.
The sessions are attended by fourth, fifth and final year students of the Vernadsky CFU Medical Institute, and are running until 13 February 2026.
The FMGE assesses whether medical graduates who studied outside India have the knowledge and skills required to meet India’s medical practice and healthcare standards.
