A graduation ceremony was held at the International Medical Faculty of the Vernadsky CFU’s S.I. Georgievsky Medical Institute, marking the presentation of higher education diplomas to graduates. This year, 363 international graduates from nine countries received their graduation documents.
“The standard of training at our Institute has traditionally been high. Our students regularly achieve top results in national and international academic competitions, win awards and take part in conferences. The University’s teaching staff approach the training of future doctors with great responsibility and high standards, as these graduates will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of their patients. I am referring to those highly motivated students who study diligently and complete the entire educational programme with excellent and good results. We are proud of our students and hope that, as good doctors, they will uphold the reputation of their alma mater,” emphasised Evgenii Krutikov, Director of the Vernadsky CFU’s
S.I. Georgievsky Medical Institute.
Representatives of the International Medical Faculty’s administrative staff also addressed the graduates with words of encouragement and best wishes for the future. They noted that the knowledge and clinical experience acquired during their studies would enable the newly-graduated doctors to work successfully in healthcare both in their home countries and abroad. The graduates were also invited to continue their studies at Vernadsky CFU in specialised medical fields in order to further develop and enhance the skills they had already acquired.
“I am very happy to be receiving my diploma, but at the same time I feel sad because I have to leave Crimea, which I have grown very fond of. I have spent six years of my life here. The most difficult thing during these years of studies was being far from home, although when I arrived here, I received a great deal of support from the University. I am grateful to all the University staff for that. When I return home, I am going to take an examination to obtain my licence to practise as a surgeon. I would advise first-year students to attend all their classes, talk to senior students about any problems they may face and, of course, study hard,” said Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Institute graduate Mithilesh Kumar Singh.
The best-performing graduates were also presented with letters of appreciation and certificates in recognition of their active social and cultural involvement for the benefit of the International Medical Faculty and the University. Performances by creative groups and Faculty students added to the festive atmosphere of the event.
