On 22 December 2023, the Vernadsky CFU’s Office of International Affairs hosted a traditional end-of-year international round table focusing on “Geopolitical Results of the Year”. This was the ninth annual event of its kind, attracting the University’s staff and students, home as well as international, local and regional officials and public figures.

The round table was chaired by Sergei Iurchenko, Vernadsky CFU’s First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Information Policy, and featured lively and thought-provoking discussions about the major global events and trends of 2023 and how they compare to those of the previous year, along with the geopolitical challenges Russia is currently facing and the University’s achievements and successes in its international initiatives.

According to the participants of the event, the topics discussed at the round table require comprehensive and sustained attention, and therefore such meetings are important and relevant.
