The Multidisciplinary Summer University, a programme that brought together ten specialists from Ghana, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, and the Republic of the Congo, was held at V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. Over the course of their studies, participants explored two key areas: an educational component and a cultural and historical module.
Hosted for the third time by Vernadsky CFU and implemented within the framework of the Russian – African Network University, the programme ran from 21 to 29 September, 2025 and was aimed at immersing participants from African countries in the Russian educational environment and fostering cooperation between Russia and Africa through joint projects and cultural exchange.
As part of the opening events, the international participants visited the University’s Rare Book Museum, where they learned about the history and techniques of book printing, and the Accreditation and Simulation Centre of the Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Institute for a workshop in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of anaesthetics.
Upon completion of the programme, which comprised lectures, hands-on practicals and simulation training sessions, and also featured a number of sightseeing tours across Crimea, the participants received official certificates of advanced training.
The Russian – African Network University project has been launched in 2021. It currently unites 90 Russian and 46 African universities. One of the main objectives of the project is to promote intercultural dialogue among nations and to support the preservation and development of cultures, languages, and traditions.
