Vernadsky CFU issued first Diploma Supplements

V.I. Vernadsky Crimean University’s graduates now have the opportunity to obtain a uniform European document which helps higher education providers and employers abroad more easily understand graduates’ skills and competences. Graduates of Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky are among the first to receive the document.

The Diploma Supplement is issued according to a template that has been developed jointly by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. It aims to describe the qualification in an easily understandable way and relate it to the higher education system within which it was issued, thus facilitating higher education internationalisation and recognition of qualifications across borders.

The Diploma Supplement can be issued to graduates of all programmes offered by the University, regardless of their year of graduation. It is a document attached to a higher education diploma which provides information identifying the holder of the Supplement, information about the qualification and its level and function, the contents and achieved results, information on the national higher education system under which the Supplement was issued, and other relevant information. The document provides graduates with broader study opportunities in other countries and promotes their employability both at national and international levels.

For more information on the terms and conditions of issuing Diploma Supplements, please contact the Office of International Affairs of Vernadsky CFU at +73 652 516 518 or send an email to dirip@cfuv.ru.
