Whole World in One University

Hundreds of the University’s students and graduates from Jordan, Canada, Vietnam, and other countries attended the Third International Forum Crimea in the Global Research and Education Community, which took place in Simferopol from 14 to 18 October 2019 on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the establishment of the first university in Crimea.

Ahead of the forum, Acting Rector of Vernadsky CFU Andrei Falaleev held meetings with the representatives of foreign delegations.

“Our international students apply the knowledge gained during their studies at the University in their home countries. It is therefore important for us to deliver education that complies with the world standards,” he stressed, and added that today the University faces an ambitious task to increase the number of international students to five thousand.

“It means that the percentage of international students is to rise to twenty-five percent, which will allow creating an international environment where our international students will feel at home,” he explained.

The opening event of the forum featured musical and dance performances by Vernadsky CFU students and staff and was followed by an exhibition where the University’s international students showcased traditions, crafts and food from their countries.
