Innovative Acne Treatment Product from Vernadsky CFU

Researchers at Vernadsky CFU are working on creating a unique plant-based preparation to treat acne.

Acne is a very common skin disease and far too many people have to deal with it at some point in their life. The disease can be hard to manage and improving the condition can be challenging.

Containing a novel combination of grape seed oil and tea tree oil, the new herbal medicinal product from Vernadsky CFU researchers is intended to treat pimples in a completely new way and expected to have a wide range of antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties, as well as help reduce sebum and skin fat secretion.

According to Dmitrii Borodavkin, a Resident Doctor at the Vernadsky CFU’s Medical Academy specialising in Dermatovenereology, the product, which will be the first of its kind to enter the Russian pharmaceutical market, is safe not only for adults but also for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

This acne treatment product will be produced and tested in a laboratory setting at the Vernadsky CFU’s Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology.
